HART D. FISHER BRINGS HIS AMERICAN HORRORS LABEL TO AMERICA IN A NEW DVD SERIES OF FILMS BEGINNING WITH THE GARBAGE MAN
1
LOS ANGELES, CA- The scariest man in America, Hart D. Fisher, through his production company Crime Pays Inc., announced that he has entered into an agreement with Todd Taylor’s Indie Pictures to distribute his American Horrors brand of horror themed programming throughout America beginning in June with the long awaited DVD release of Fisher’s directorial debut, The Garbage Man.

“This distribution agreement, along with our foreign broadcast television deals, is a major opportunity for independent horror creators across America.” Said producer Hart D. Fisher. “I will be overseeing all aspects of this deal personally, from film selection, advertising, marketing, packaging, the works. Todd is a visionary businessman with a great hunger to change the way the horror business works. Together we’re going to turn this genre on its head.”

The first film released under the American Horrors label through Indie Pictures, The Garbage Man, will be released in stores June, 2009.

The DVD release of the critically acclaimed film will feature an introduction by the director discussing the tragedies associated with the making of the film, namely the motel murder of Mr. Fisher’s first love and live in girlfriend during the making of The Garbage Man and the subsequent decade of murder trials that followed. Testifying and suffering through 3 different murder trials to keep her murderer locked up in prison, Mr. Fisher has never discussed these events publicly, until now.

Says Fisher, “There’s a great deal of personal pain associated with The Garbage Man, it’s not something I’ve ever been able to talk about publicly, but now with the documentary on my life shooting, the release of Garbage Man coming up, I find it’s something I’m going to have to deal with. I mean, this is an intensely disturbing film, even for me.”

Mr. Fisher is currently seeking out more indie filmmakers, feature films, shorts and horror themed music videos to be part of the American Horrors brand that reaches into tens of millions of households across countries including France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and now America via Broadcast television, DVD, VOD and Internet downloads. Anyone interested in seeking out more information or wishes to submit their work for review, please contact us at:submissions@americanhorrors.com.

“ I didn't think a film about a black serial killer would get to me, but it did. The Garbage Man really got under my skin. I loved it.”
-Tony Timpone/Fangoria

“ THE GARBAGE MAN is an intelligent horror-drama that is well worth blowing chunks over. One audacious bastard of a serial killer.”
-Rue Morgue

HART D. FISHER AND CRAVEN MOOREHEAD ANNOUNCE ALLIANCE!
1
TWO OF THE DARKEST FORCES IN ADULT AND HORROR TEAM UP IN A NEW FILMMAKING PARTNERSHIP TO TAKE ON THE WORLD OF MUSIC VIDEO PRODUCTION!
LOS ANGELES, CA - In a surprise move, Crime Pays, Inc. founder and president, Hart D. Fisher, has announced the latest critical addition to his filmmaking machine, Horror Porn auteur, Craven Moorehead. The two have stated their alliance has one goal only: to take on the world of music videos, drag it kicking and screaming into a dark alley, and whip the sunuvabitch to within an inch of it’s life and make it beg for more.

“I was cutting a few jobs for Glenn Danzig.” Said controversial filmmaker Hart D. Fisher. “And what I noticed was that we kept going to the B camera constantly for the best footage. This happened over a few projects, and the man behind that camera was Craven Moorehead. I already loved this guy’s porn, Grub Girl rocked, I knew I wanted to work with him right then and there.”

One would be hard pressed to find two more controversial creators in the world of horror or porn, let alone working together. Mr. Fisher’s post production facility, Crime Pays Inc, has been responsible for the look and editing on multiple AVN Award Nominated horror porns Club Satan (Matt Zane),

Porn of the Dead (Rob Rotten), and now by adding legendary Grub Girl director and musician Craven Moorehead to his team the circle is complete.

“After adapting Glenn Danzig’s Grub Girl to XXX, you gotta say, where do I go from here?” Said Mr. Moorehead “I got my answer in Hart D. Fisher. From his Dahmer comics in the 90’s to his cutting edge editing in adult, this is a guy I can tear up the world of music videos with. What other working director in horror has been on both Jerry Springer and Larry King, let alone survived a protest march on his house? We’re gonna definitely shake things up.”

After tackling the fetish/horror/club visuals for the upcoming My Bloody Valentine fetish event on February 14th, Moorehead and Fisher are currently in talks with several metal bands for their next video project. For anyone interested in seeking out the filmmaking duo for their next music video project, please contact us at: info@crimepaysinc.com.

ROGER SCHECK TAKES ON THE MOST DANGEROUS STORY IN COMICS, THE HART D. FISHER STORY
Nobody Loves Alice writer/director takes on Outlaw Publisher Turned Filmmaker’s Shocking Story of Love, Murder, and Utter Despair Christine Christian LOS ANGELES, CA- In the 1990s, perhaps no independent publisher partied as hard, shook the industry's foundations, or endured more public and private turmoil than Boneyard Press founder and president Hart D. Fisher. While the man Hero Illustrated dubbed 'The Most Dangerous Man In Comics' was interviewed in virtually every comics trade publication and on mainstream TV programs like Larry King Live, The Jerry Springer Show, and The Sally Jesse Raphael Show, Fisher always held back. Some subjects were too personal; too painful to broach. Living on the edge for the better part of a decade, there were stories behind the stories, skeletons in the closet, and bloody ghosts that continue to haunt him to this day.

When Roger Scheck began looking for his next feature film project, after his searing directorial debut (Nobody Loves Alice), he was brought to a dead stop upon meeting the controversial publisher turned filmmaker. For the first time ever, he opens up about subjects that still bear scars as fresh as when they first formed. The murder of his first love & live in girlfriend during filming of his debut feature film, The Garbage Man; the legal battles fought over the publication of his Jeffrey Dahmer comics; the events which led to a threatened KKK protest march on his home in Illinois; what brought him out to Los Angeles and eventually led to him running the show at rock superstar Glenn Danzig's Verotik and the creation of the most controversial comic book in 50 years (Verotika #4’s “A Taste of Cherry”), the shut down of Planet Comics in Oklahoma City, the true story behind Hart D. Fisher’s “Death” in a 1998 April Fools Day prank gone wrong, discovering a young Gerard (My Chemical Romance Frontman) Way and taking the young artist (at the tender age of 15) under his wing, the decade long legal battle to keep the murderer of his first love in prison.
If Fisher kept a lid on some of the subjects in his life, which at the time had him on the brink, that lid has been ripped off and thrown aside in this shocking new documentary project helmed by Roger Scheck.

“What was going on in my life—the real story, the behind-the-scenes,” Fisher says, “is something only a few people really know. Some friends, my Dad (who passed away in 2005), Joe Monks…not a lot of people outside my inner circle had any idea what was going on. Both the good stuff and the things that made my life a living hell.”

Not surprisingly, when Fisher began to consider revealing some of the details for his new television show, American Horrors, even more spilled out than anticipated. Says longtime friend and frequent co-collaborator Joe Monks, whose own feature film (The Bunker) Fisher co-produced, “What Hart's finally letting out will blow your mind. This is the kind of interview you'd see on 60 Minutes in its heyday, or in PLAYBOY--if they had the guts to print it just the way Hart tells it. It's funny, it's shocking, it's an emotional rollercoaster. Be prepared when this documentary is finished—it's not some fluff piece about a guy who's accomplished a lot. This is riveting story about a man who survived his worst nightmares and changed an entire industry. This is the real deal, warts and all.”

Filmmaker, bouncer, post house CEO and perhaps the most controversial figure in comic books since William M. Gaines. Hart Fisher has the kind of stories roadies for the Rolling Stones envy. And he's finally telling them all.

Nobody Loves Alice director, Roger Scheck, grew up in McAlester Oklahoma where his interest in film was spawned by a close friend. While attending the North Carolina School of the Arts (Majoring in Cinematography) Scheck wrote, directed and produced his first feature film, Nobody Loves Alice. This film was shot on location in Winston-Salem, NC in 12 days over the winter break of his senior year of college. This film has since been picked up by Indie Pictures, a child of Warner, and is currently being re-mastered for it's television debut in 17 countries across Europe and Asia.

CONTROVERSIAL 1ST AMENDMENT WARRIOR, HART D. FISHER, JOINS LEADING TRUE CRIME SITE, IN COLD BLOG on FEB. 9TH
LOS ANGELES, CA — In Cold Blog (ICB), founded by Los Angeles Times and Borders International best selling author Corey Mitchell, is the Internet’s leading true crime blog. With several contributing writers that cover the gamut from Pulitzer Prize nominees, award winning journalists and authors, criminal justice and medical professionals, victim’s rights advocates and even family members of the victim of a serial killer, In Cold Blog has been providing a unique voice to issues involving crime and justice since June 2007.

When In Cold Blog’’s editor, Michelle McKee, went looking for someone to represent the voice of America’s freedom of speech, censorship, morality gone wrong, exploitation, and the removal of one’s Constitutional guarantee of freedom, she looked no further than the notorious publisher of Boneyard Press, Hart D. Fisher.

Fisher’s opinions on serial killers and serial killer culture have been sought by numerous television producers for programs such as ABC's DayOne, CNN's Murder By Numbers, Entertainment Tonight, Larry King Live, The Jerry Springer Show, CNN Headline News, A&E's Biography, and in magazines such as Time, Tattoo Savage, Hero Illustrated, People, The Comics Journal, and the non-fiction best seller The A-Z Guide to Serial Killers, to name only a few.

An individual who takes his work to the extreme, Fisher pushes the envelope on the boundaries of freedom of expression beyond that which many are comfortable with. His work has been banned and pulled from shelves and his books have been destroyed by the distribution house itself.

With credits dotting his portfolio that include the production of indie horror films, the creation of serial killer comic books, the production of pornography, horror porn to be specific, as well as critically acclaimed poetry, Hart D. Fisher has been called one of the "100 Most Important People In The Comics Industry" by Hero Illustrated. He has also been one of the most universally despised individuals to have ever set foot in adult theme comics, let alone within in the crime genre itself. As the controversial publisher behind Boneyard Press, Fisher created Jeffrey Dahmer: An Unauthorized Biography of a Serial Killer, A comic book that started a firestorm which brought death threats, stalkers, lawsuits, protest marches, including a threatened KKK protest march on his home in Illinois, a SWAT team to his door, and a request by the local police to leave town.

As managing editor of Glenn Danzig’s publishing company Verotik, Fisher created a comic book murder story, Verotika #4, “A Taste of Cherry,” that was considered to be so offensive and obscene it shut down Planet Comics in Oklahoma City in the early 90’s and the work was banned. It is still banned in that state today.

Even OJ Simpson has sued Fisher for his satirical portrayal in Boneyard Press’ comic book creations.

Hart Fisher produces the type of material that members of the morality police generally object to. His work is considered by some to be vile and offensive, and it is exactly the type of unpopular speech that is at the forefront of assaults by the so called moral majority against our Constitutional liberties. It is the type of material that is typically blamed for various public ills and criminal activity; after all, we've all heard what the Uptight Ninny Brigade has to say about sex crimes, metal music and video games.

Fisher couldn't be a more appropriate voice representing freedom of expression, and the shredding of the Untied States Constitution. Hart D. Fisher has fought for his right as an American citizen to exercise his freedom of speech – and he has lost.

AMERICAN HORRORS ADDS “RULE OF 3” TO IT’S SLATE OF PROGRAMMING! LOS ANGELES, CA- Crime Pays, Inc. founder and president, Hart D. Fisher, has announced the latest critically acclaimed film addition to his American Horrors slate of programming with the signing of Filmmaking team Eric Shapiro Rhoda Jordan’s deeply disturbed horrornoir, Rule of 3.

The movie, a psychological shocker about sexual compulsives and predators, has accumulated universal critical praise during its 2008 festival run garnering it’s cast Best Actor (Fantasia Film Festival, Ben Siegler), Best Acting Performance (Shriekfest, Rhoda Jordan) and earned itself critical praise from The Austin Chronicle, Fangoria, The Montreal Gazette and so many more.

“I was immediately impressed with Eric and Rhoda and what they had to say about horror at Shriekfest.” Said producer Hart D. Fisher. “When I was first given the opportunity of producing a show on the American horror scene, I knew that I was going to be on the hunt for films like this. Rule of 3 keeps you guessing the entire way through the movie, turning the screws with every revelation. This is not just another direct to video garbage release. Rule of 3 is a serious film made by filmmakers who understand the genre and bring it forward, instead of rehashing old formulas.”

Says ROT’s producer/director, Eric Shapiro, “Hart Fisher’s sensibility is a great match for our film. When I was in high school, I followed Fisher in the media, defending his Jeffrey Dahmer comics against the censorship sheep. It’s thrilling to have made a movie that’s now part of his American Horrors brand.”

Mr. Fisher is currently seeking out more indie filmmakers, feature films, shorts and horror themed music videos for broadcast across a platform that reaches into tens of millions of households across countries including France, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Austria and more. Anyone interested in seeking out more information or wishes to submit their work for review, please contact us at: submissions@americanhorrors.com.

Fisher to edit his VEROTIKA short film “She Only Likes Men.” That’s right, the team that brought you the single most controversial comic story in the last 40 years (“A Taste of Cherry” from Verotika #4, is the comic book that lead local police to shut down Planet Comics Oklahoma City and was deemed as “Obscene Material” by the state of Oklahoma) has reunited to turn the knife on unsuspecting movie goers.
